Unit 4 - Pros and cons

Online gambling casino

The online gambling is a lot different than gambling in a physical casino. In some ways it is better and in some ways it is worse. Below are my pros and cons of online gambling, based on my personal experiences, compared to gambling in a "real" casino.

The Pros

Online gambling is a competitive business and many casinos will offer a lot to get and keep your business. Many will offer sign-up bonuses to new customers, adding 10 to 50% of their initial deposit to their bankroll. Some will randomly deposit money in customer accounts and others will give away vacations for specified levels of total money bet.
The rules are usually better than in physical casinos.
You don't have to travel long distances. The casino is in your own home.
You don't have to suffer real casino annoyances, like smokers.
You don't have to feel obligated to tip.

The Cons

You have to be patient about getting your money after you cash out. In addition to waiting periods on the casino end there are also delays on the credit card end. Two to four weeks is the norm for the time between cashing out and your credit appearing back on your credit card. Debit cards are much faster taking only about 3 to 5 business days.
Customer service can be spotty depending on where you play. Some places offer great service via e-mail and a toll-free number. Others take several days to reply to an e-mail, have no known telephone number, and generally seem like they just don't want to be bothered aside from taking your money.
The player has no power or authority to turn to in the event of a dispute. Usually in the player agreement it says the casino can make up the rules as they go and in the event of a dispute the casino's word is final.
If you play at a lot of places your credit/debit card statement will be a nightmare to balance.
Transactions seldom indicate the name of the casino you played at but instead specify the merchant bank.

Unit 3 - Finding a job

To my to seem this to be the unit but long of all, but more professional, because this time, we prepared ours curriculum, we looked for work in a Web site, and we prepared ourselves for a work in the outside. Next my topic of this experience:

Look for a job is a complicated but pleasant experience. For many students the hour to leave to look for work can get to be a little complicated activity, due to the possible lack of labor experience that most of the classified ones it looks for and the great amount of companies and possible positions of which is due to choose to as of them it is that it is going away to choose.

In spite of complicated that can get to be to look for a job it is an activity that while but time and persistence is dedicated to him, but rewarding it will be the result of the same one, thanks to as the saying goes “The one that persevera reaches”.

Finally I recommend the people who never have made this activity, dare and dedicate the time that creates necessary until finding a the job wished that of insurance some company must be in the search of a professional like your.

Unit 2 - Advertising

Unit 2, my favorite, in this unit we described our favorite commercial of the television, using examples and sentences make the following work:

My favorite commercial of the television at the moment is of Coca-Cola where a common person introduces money in the crack of a sale machine and drives a sequence of magical adventures in a fantasy world, which culminates in the delivery of a cold bottle of Coca-Cola.

This commercial belongs to the campaign of April 2006 for the 120th Anniversary of the mark, which is an invitation to choose the positive. In line with its slogan “The Coke Side of Life”, the most famous soda water mark invites people to create its own positive reality, to being spontaneous and to listen its heart.

Coca-Cola is a global mark, with local connections and meaning. This is a campaign thought for everybody with an ample menu of options, of where each country selects the creativity most compatible and near its market.

Unit 1 - Journalism

In this occasion we gave an opinion on a musical video, to which we gave our own end him. My opinion was this:

I think that this it is a good musical video that she relates a unique history of love. That he yielded its eyes to her so she can see again, is a great test of love, that very few would do it by somebody, but the end does not please much to me; I consider that the protagonists have to be together with that great love who feels the one by the other.
Well equal the video does not demonstrate that they are separated absolutely, since the world gives many returns and the true love is unique in the life.

In this first class we interacted a little with our companions of class with the purpose of knowing, which I help us to learn more as to share socially using questions and answers in English. Here I publish my first work to them in classes:

Hi, my name’s Ramsés Granado like the Pharaoh. I’m from Lagunillas, originally. I’m 20 years old and I study engineering in computer science at URBE. I live in Ciudad Ojeda and every day’s travel to the university in a private transport.
I love arts, music, theaters, dancing, go out celebration with my friends, playing in the casinos, the internet, the technologies and travel around my country.
I hate violence, lying, onions and racialism.
My dream is be happy every days, I want to graduate from Engineering School. I also want to live in Europe. I’d love to work in an important software company and work in an international channel.
About English, I like that language. I think English is very important for my future like engineer in computer science.

Her name’s Raquel Espina. She’s a student from graphic design in a computer science school. She likes the design; she loves the internet and the computers.She dreams about being actress, but she doesn’t have time to work in it.And she studies the 8th semester.

Given the circumstances of economic globalization, social and cultural in that we lived nowadays, to dominate the English language it has become a fundamental element in the daily life, not only like a tool of communication, but vital within the professional practice, as much technological as of investigation, because the greater part of the information of the new technologies is in this language, I talk about the spreading of studies, surveys, investigations and innovations.

Not to have the ability to understand, to speak and to write the English language, puts in great disadvantage to the students and university professionals, since it will be more difficult to stay updated, to obtain scholarships for the foreigner and by as much making post degree studies in other countries, as well as participating in symposiums or international courses. On the other hand, the advantages to dominate this language are innumerable, between which they emphasize to compete at international level, to have the opportunity to make studies abroad, to have access to the information that is derived from this language like articles, magazines, books, videos, courses, among others, to exert the profession in tourist population centers, in addition to the possibility of growing in the professional life, of improving the individual and social cultural level and the gratitude to dominate another language that is not the Spanish.

For these reasons and many others, I allow myself to suggest within the life of all college student is of vital importance of having access to the learning of the English language in all its scopes, reading, oral expression, writing and writing.

In this course and had the opportunity to complement the previous thing described, this time with the writing and to draft in English, this writing different topics following the instructions from the teacher (Doris Molero), I learned of the language to differentiate and to describe each one of the parts of a paragraph or text, to develop, to give opinions, all this to me professionally and but by means of the use of technological tools of outposts.
